David’s Testimonial

I have had the pleasure of working with Dave for a while now, he is one of the most positive people you will ever meet. Every gym needs a Dave. He is the friendly guy that will say hello, ensure a beginner feels at ease and makes what can be a difficult environment for some people just much more inviting.

Highly motivated and determined he will always take on any challenge. I remember him, soon after having a full hip replacement, walking into the gym on crutches and saying ‘when can we get started?’

He is a great guy with a great attitude and a pleasure to coach. Here is his testimonial.

“I have been training with Matt for several years now and I am constantly challenged and seeing results. A few years ago I had to undergo a full hip replacement. I returned to regular training with Matt, although apprehensive at first. Matt was supportive, encouraging and using his extensive knowledge restored my confidence to train fully. Although each weekly session is challenging I know I would never work as hard or achieve the results I do without Matt.”

Dave’s sessions include a combination of barbell training, basic bodyweight calisthenics and kettlebell movements. Over recent months we have focused on mastery of the basics including, the deadlift, press, chin up, kettlebell swing, clean, snatch and the Turkish get up.

My philosophy to training is that it should allow you to get more out of life. If you are fitter and stronger you can take on more and enjoy everything this world has to offer.

I love to see Dave going head to head in the gym with his daughter and son-in-law whenever they come to visit and just this week I received a text message to say that Dave had climbed Snowdon!

Life is for living, and it’s just more fun when you’re fit!
